tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27 1976) was a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is considered to be one of the most significant tight ends of all time. Gonzalez holds the record of the NFL for receiving yards and receptions for a tight end. Furthermore, he ranks third in overall receptions. Gonzalez was chosen in the 1st round of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was part of their first 12-season playing for the team. In his five last seasons as a Falcon, he played with the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez has retired in 2013 but was an analyst for football at NFL on Prime Video. He was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez was recognized for his durability and the ability to not lose a ball. He was a part of 272 of 270 regular-season games and he only made two fumbles, on 1,327 touches. He was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
